We have health visitors attached to the practice who are actively involved in all aspects of child health and general health promotion in all age groups. Child development and baby clinics are run on a weekly basis. Please ask at reception for further details.
The District Nursing Team provides skilled nursing care within the community to people in their own homes, residential care settings and independent sector. They provide specialist patient-focused nursing care for the elderly, the chronically sick and the terminally ill, particularly those who need intensive and technological care or who have specialist care needs.
They also provide leg ulcer clinics, chronic disease management in partnership with others, a continence service, health needs assessments and registered nursing care contribution assessments.
Patients who require care from the District Nursing Team will be referred by the surgery.
The community midwife provides antenatal and postnatal care jointly with your doctor and the health visitors. If you are pregnant, you can choose to receive your ante-natal care here at the surgery. Our surgery Midwife holds a weekly clinic the surgery.
